Home Who are we? Philosophy

A person with a physical or mental disability is a differently-abled person who despite his or her difference has a lot in common with all of us.

We consider that a person with a disability needs our empathy more than our sympathy and that just like each one of us, a person with a disability requires physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

Every day, Divya Jyoti aims at improving these people’s self-esteem and socio-economic situation by giving them specific education and knowledge for them to respect themselves and to be respected. They are taught that solidarity is a precious and necessary strength in life and acquire practical knowledge through the production of handicraft.
